Artist
Artistic approach
I am Heyran. I live and work in the Czech Republic for almost 10 years. I come from one of the most beautiful regions of our planet, Azerbaijan, which is undoubtedly reflected in the palette of my paintings, in the sense of detail and ornamental drawing. But I am different in painting, controversial to traditions. However, it is better to see the art once than to listen to a thousand words.
I am Heyran. Through art I try to convey what I am not able to explain in words. I was looking for ways to discover the truth in history, in philosophy, in different cultures, in people, in nature, but in the end I stopped and looked inside, into myself, into the beginnings, into basic intuitions and emotions. It is art that has become the main instrument with which I try to sing about the truth. The process of constant searching has no end, and there is no name for the goals that I try to achieve with art. Art gives unlimited, the purest freedom that can ever exist.
I am Heyran. I am in love with the power that spins the whole universe, I'm enchanted by life.
P.S.: "Heyranam" translated from Azerbaijani means "I am charmed, enchanted", "I am in love".

“The satisfaction of the creative impulse is a basic, biological need, essential to the health of the individual... Art is one of the few important means known to man for the articulation of this impulse”.

"Before I give a more detailed "critique" I must say that I really love the black and white work the best. I see the importance of flow (life?) in her work. It is represented in her circuitous strokes and waves of pure emotion. Action painting (or illustration) is mixed with representational imagery to create something unique. I must say that I personally am not a huge fan of abstract art. However I do love expressionism and feel her work falls into the latter. I do like how fluidity is almost always depicted in her style. Sometimes it even spills out into the negative space, like the image can't contain it's own space and flows into the negative space. I see it as pure emotion. Transformative in the way her images tend to morph into other images. I see a restlessness, maybe even anger and other painful emotions.
I like her work very much, but I feel that she needs to decide on an aesthetic. She has the life experience to draw from, but I feel that she needs to hone a distinct style - sometimes less is more, but nevertheless I love the energy and emotion, and that's stuff they can't teach. You either express, or repress.
She definitely expresses!
I'm really trying to be honest, and sometimes I may seem over opinionated, but I like to feel as much as I see when it comes to visual art. Heyran satisfies both requirements!"
